Most churches that walk with 3DM join us in a “Learning Community,” a 2 year process where your church emerges completely able to make disciples and missionally engage the town, city or suburb you serve in. We are inviting you to join a community of leaders on this two-year journey where you can rediscover the DNA of Jesus’ call to build a discipling culture in your church. We would not expect you to invest in this kind of journey without a “test drive,” so we invite you to sign up for one of our three-day, free Taster events. You cover your travel and lodging and we take care of the rest. The Taster is not a sales pitch. There is no condominium or timeshare we’re trying to sell you. It really is about giving you a 3 day immersion into what 3DM does; you’ll hear real stories of churches in the United States who are moving their church in this direction and what that could mean for the community you lead. In fact, we strongly request that you bring at 1-2 other leaders in your church to experience the Taster with you. While you do not have to be attend a Taster to be in a Learning Community, we highly recommend it.

Who will lead the 3D Taster?
The principal teacher and facilitator at a Taster will vary based on where in the country it is. But even then, it’s a team effort! All of the 3DM team are experienced practitioners in discipling, planting, leading, and multiplying missional communities.
Who is the Retreat for?
The retreat is for senior leaders and one or two key members of their team. The size of your church, denominational affiliation or network doesn’t matter.
What will it cost?
We ask that you cover the cost of your travel and accommodation (although we have negotiated deals with local hotels). The Taster Retreat itself is free; we provide all your food, materials and retreat space during your time with us.
What is the purpose? What should I expect?
A 3D Taster is designed to give leaders "a taste" of the range of resources and tools 3DM use in equipping/empowering/resourcing leaders to disciple others and missionally engage with today's culture. The retreat is packed with quality input and the processing is led by experienced practitioners. Huddle and extended Q&A are an integral part of the three days. 3D Taster Retreats function as extended family, so there will be lots of time to eat, laugh, process and get to know each other.
How are you expecting me to respond at the Taster?
Some leaders simply take some of the tools and inputs back home with them. Some church leaders decide that they want to join one of our Learning Communities. Some churches/networks/denominations prefer to tailor a package of coaching and 3D Communities that directly addresses the needs of their church/network/denomination. Everyone has a great time!
